DETAILED DESCRIPTION
We thought we could guide our employees to give their E46 a second lease on life. Whether you're drifting your car or putting it on the track, this pack is for true enthusiasts who want to push their car to its limits without any damage. They are installed on almost all staff cars here at Tech-53 and they have been through hell and back without any failures.
Not suitable for M3. Only suitable for non-M E46 models.
REINFORCEMENT PLATES:
Designed on our company cars, our E46 reinforcement plates have been integrated into many E46s, most of which are M3s. This solves the common problem of cracked floors and protects against tearing under stress. This set of plates has been welded under drift cars and track cars to make them track-ready.
RTAB BUSHING KIT:
In this kit, you will find two machined aluminum (6061-T6) housings, in which we have installed two OE-quality spherical bearings (made in Germany). This kit also includes adjustment sleeves, for the left and right sides, which will allow you to achieve an additional range of toe adjustment.
Why would I need additional toe adjustment?
On E36 and E46 models, when you lower your rear suspension, the rear wheels naturally lean outward (point away from the car). You will eventually reach a point where the trailing arm ball joint is not enough to bring the rear wheel alignment back to 0° or 0 toe (perfectly straight). With the additional toe range this design offers, you can achieve between 4 and 5 mm of toe.
HOW THE ADJUSTMENT WORKS:
It's extremely simple to play with the adjustment. The central and inner sleeves are offset. The arm lift on the outer sleeve (aluminum) increases the toe adjustment when placed inside. The central sleeve also increases the toe adjustment when placed inside. You can install both parts inside or outside, separately, in pairs or with your own mix. The main purpose of this design is to bypass bringing your rear wheels to a toe setting, or 0 toe. Both are very desirable configurations that the factory design does not allow, when lowered to a certain extent.
WHY NOT USE POLYURETHANE?
We use our original spherical bearings for the suspension that the trailing arm works best when you have full, austere articulation. Cheap polyurethane RTABs do not allow proper trailing arm deflection. Coupled with both correct control and passenger side.
To facilitate toe adjustment, we suggest installing this kit as shown in the photo, so that the offset part faces outwards from your car. Replaces part nos: 33326770813 and 33326757885.
REAR SUBFRAME BUSHING KIT:
Tech-53 rear subframe bushing kits have already been track tested for a few years: our subframe bushing kit is manufactured to tight tolerances in aluminum for optimal quality. The bushings are made of Delrin and undergo strict quality control. This ensures that you have no play after installation. Our internal sleeves are made of very lightweight aerospace-grade 6061-T6 aluminum. These bushings are designed for track, drift or extreme driving, giving instant feedback from the rear of the car to the chassis. The Delrin material is strong, but not enough to produce the type of friction, and maintain your car's geometry where it should be.
SUBFRAME DIFFERENTIAL BUSHING KIT:
Do you want to eliminate all play in your differential? You don't want all the vibrations of an all-aluminum bushing. We have the ideal combination for you, we use Delrin/Acetal for all our differential bushings available on the website. Our multi-piece design combined with a stainless steel washer ensures that the bushing works as it should. The OEM unit wears out very quickly when the driver uses the car as it is supposed to. The sign of a worn bushing is a loud clunk during hard acceleration or when hitting the clutch.
TRAILING ARM BALL JOINT:
This ball joint is located on the upper rear part of the trailing arm. It also fits on the lower rear part; it replaces the bushing, as an upgrade, to reproduce the M design. It marries better than the original bushing and also lasts longer.
